Which tactic is more effective for growth? SEO or content marketing?

We’ll reveal the answer in this post.

It can be challenging to choose between SEO and content marketing. You’ll often want to use both of them for maximum impact. Let’s now discuss the differences between SEO and content marketing so that you can decide which marketing strategy is best for your business.

What is the difference between SEO and content marketing?

SEO is the process of optimizing your web pages for higher search engine rankings. Content marketing is about getting more exposure for your company through content. SEO is more technical than content marketing.

This is the core idea of SEO and content marketing, but each strategy has its details and applications.

We’ll cover the most critical aspects of SEO and content marketing so that you can create a plan to grow your online business.

After reading this comparison guide, visit my SEO Content Marketing Strategy page, which shows you how to combine these growth strategies for your business.

Content Marketing vs. SEO Comparison

SEO improves the ranking of your pages in search engines so that more people can find them. Content marketing drives traffic to your website from external sources. SEO is essential for a successful content marketing strategy.

Below is a table that compares SEO and content marketing. Each factor will be explained individually after the table.

What is SEO?

SEO stands for search engine optimization. This marketing strategy optimizes your website and pages to rank higher in organic search results. SEO can increase visibility and drive more traffic to your website.

There are two main ways to optimize your website for search engine optimization. One deals with on-page factors, and the other focuses more on off-page elements.

When you combine them properly, you can rank web pages higher in search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, and Bing for relevant keywords to your business.

This is why every company needs SEO. Every business should also focus on blogging to market, regardless of how many employees or annual sales.

Different types of SEO

SEO on-page

On-page SEO is a set of optimization techniques you can apply to your website to improve its ranking and increase traffic from search engines. On-page SEO is focused on optimizing pages’ content and HTML source codes.

These on-site factors are:

  • Title tag: Also called the meta title. The web page’s title appears on the search engine results page ( SERP). This is where your main keywords should be.
  • Meta Description – This describes the content of a web page. It is the content that appears below the title tag in the SERPs.
  • Headings refer to H1-H6 tags on a webpage. These headings should contain your keywords.
  • URL – This is where a website’s web page is located. It’s what you see in your browser’s address bar. It is a good idea to include the main keyword here.
  • Page Content – This is the main text the user sees on a webpage. To increase page relevance to specific topics, you can add target keywords.
  • ALT: This HTML attribute describes the content of an image on a page. This location can contain SEO keywords.
  • Internal Linking: A link linking two pages of the same website. The anchor text should contain SEO keywords that will increase its relevance to the target page.
  • Structured data: Also called Schema Markup. This helps search engines understand the content of a webpage. This helps rank the page in the rich results section of the SERPs.
  • Page Speed – This is how quickly your web pages load before users can interact with them. Higher user experience means faster speeds. A better user experience means higher rankings.
  • Core web Vitals is a new ranking factor for on-page SEO by Google. It is related to page speed, user experience, and page layout.
  • Mobile Experience Search engines now consider the mobile version of a page when ranking and indexing a website. A mobile-friendly experience is crucial for improving on-page SEO.

On-page SEO is critical if you want to quickly improve your search results using specific keywords. Anyone can use these methods to improve their keyword rankings and traffic.

Off-Page SEO

Off-page SEO is the outside actions that impact your website’s search engine rankings. Because it involves getting other websites to link to your website and mention your brand, it is more challenging to control off-site elements.

For online success, good off-page search engine optimization is essential. It will increase your site’s relevancy, trustworthiness, and authority, making it easier for search engines to rank it higher in the search engines.

There are many types of off-page SEO:

  • Backlinks These are websites that link to your pages. It’s one of SEO’s top secrets. The more backlinks that you have, the better. Your porters will be more robust if they have more backlinks of higher quality.
  • Brand Mentions These are unlinked mentions of your company on other websites. Brand mentions are a great way to increase trust and authority on your website.
  • Social shares: Content shared on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and Reddit. Natural backlinks can be acquired for websites by sharing more content.
  • Domain Authority: This score is between 1-100. It calculates how authoritative your site is in comparison to other websites. Domain Authority is primarily composed of the domain’s age, history, number of linking root domains, and the total number of links.
  • Page Authority This metric is used to score web pages within a domain. Higher Page Authority values mean that a search engine is more likely to return a page in organic search results.

To learn more about these elements, please refer to my off-page SEO examples guide.

What is Content Marketing?

Content marketing is about creating, publishing, and distributing content online for a specific audience. Content marketing is not intended to promote a brand but to generate interest in products and services that will encourage people to interact with the business.

You can use a variety of content marketing methods to increase brand awareness. Content marketing, when done correctly, can increase authority and trust in your business by showcasing your industry expertise.

Different types of content marketing

  • Blog Articles: These are content articles that you post to your blog.
  • Social Media posts: These are posts you make on social networks to engage users. You can include links to your website, images that evoke emotion, and quotes that encourage action.
  • Emails This is the content that you send to your email subscribers. This can be a simple list of blog posts or direct email marketing campaigns.
  • Ebooks: These are downloadable PDF documents that can be used to educate your audience about a specific topic. The content is usually intended to be something other than sales-oriented but instead helps solve a problem. These engaged users will contact your company for more information when done right.
  • Infographics A collection of images, charts, and minimal texts that provides a clear overview of a topic. Because people love to share infographics with others online, they are a great use of content marketing.
  • Videos are videos you upload to video-sharing sites such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion. Videos are an excellent content marketing strategy that can educate your audience and show your expertise.
  • Audio Files These are podcasts and interviews you can record and share via audio-sharing websites like Soundcloud and Stitcher. Talking about issues that are relevant to your business will help you build your reputation in the industry.
  • Case Studies This is an in-depth, detailed, and detailed examination of particular cases related to your enterprise within a real-world context. You can be the leading source of high-level information by collecting data and sharing it with your audience.
  • Whitepapers A report or guide that presents an issue and offers a solution. Whitepapers can be considered case studies, but they are more detailed content marketing.

What is SEO Content Marketing?

SEO is not content marketing. SEO is the technical process of optimizing a web page to increase website traffic. Content marketing is about creating valuable and relevant content that can be shared beyond a website to increase traffic or get in touch with a business.

What is Content Marketing?

SEO includes content marketing. Content marketing can help you improve search engine optimization by attracting more links. Off-page SEO is also easier because content marketing enhances a business’s authority, authority, and trust, allowing content to rank higher.

To learn more about this relationship in marketing, check out my Why Content is Important for SEO here.

Why content is the key to SEO success

SEO is all about content. High-quality content is crucial for ranking well in search engines such as Google. Websites used to be able to rank higher simply by using specific keywords in their content. Search engines can now rate content based on its quality.

This is why blogs are essential for SEO. If your content isn’t well-received online, people will not want to consume it.

SEO and Content Marketing Statistics

  • 75% of marketers use SEO, while 61% reuse existing content to promote their content marketing efforts. (SEMrush)
  • 70% of B2B content marketers believe their company’s marketing efforts are more successful this year than last. ( Content Marketing Institute).

  • Google uses two of the most important signals to rank websites for search: high-quality content and link building. (Search Engine Watch)
  • Google will give you more search traffic if a page has more backlinks. (Ahrefs)
  • 70% of marketers believe SEO is more effective than PPC. (Databox)

Summary of Content Marketing vs. SEO

This post is about SEO vs. content marketing. I hope you enjoyed it.

You’ve seen that SEO is more effective than content marketing. Search engine optimization helps your pages rank higher on search results pages, while content marketing increases awareness of your brand.

But it would be best if you did not decide to focus on SEO or content marketing for long-term growth. To increase your business’ exposure online, a good marketing strategy should include technical SEO implementation and content marketing efforts.

7 Grey Hat SEO Strategies to Boost Your Website’s Ranking https://safeseotools.com/7-grey-hat-seo-strategies-to-boost-your-websites-ranking/ Wed, 01 Feb 2023 12:49:29 +0000 https://safeseotools.com/?p=194 It’s 2021; everyone is online 24/7 to find some content. We all want our websites to rank first in organic search. Ranking high on search engines can be challenging.

Quality content and the right keywords are enough to rank your website on search engines in the past. Following Google’s guidelines and rules might take several months to achieve the desired results.

Grey hat SEO techniques, and this article, can be used to boost traffic and rank that white hat search engine optimization might not have.

You are on the right page and have found 7 Grey Hat SEO methods to improve your website’s ranking.

You’ve probably heard of white hat, black hat, and grey hat SEO if you’ve been involved in SEO for a while. There are many types of SEO. While the white hat is the best, the black hat is the worst, and the grey hat is ugly.

Grey hat search engine optimization is a blurred line between black and white hats. To improve your website’s ranking, you must first understand the differences between grey and black hat SEO.

Black, Grey, and White Hat SEO

Implementing the proper practices is critical to successful SEO. Google has obvious Webmaster Guidelines. Follow them to avoid your page being removed from Google searches. Google has a lot of power in your business. You cannot afford to make it difficult for them.

White hat SEO is the practice of following search engine policies and rules. Sites want to link through content that is so high quality there’s no keyword stuffing and no hidden text. There are no doorways pages. White hat-rich SEO websites have the following key features:

  • Optimized content of high quality.
  • Meta tags should be used in the right way
  • Meta tags and descriptive keywords.
  • Page loading speed and responsiveness

It’s easier to be noticed in a competitive market if you use white-hat SEO techniques. Although it can guarantee long-term organic traffic growth and linkback growth, it is only sometimes noticeable.

Black hat SEO is the deliberate use of tactics and practices against the search engine’s terms and conditions to manipulate search engine results and rank higher. This could result in search engines removing the site from its results pages or affiliate sites.

Black Hat SEO Tips:

  • Spammy links
  • Keyword stuffing.
  • Clothes
  • Pages with duplicate content, domains, and subdomains
  • Redirecting

Although these practices may give you faster results, they are not organic and can only be used for a short time. These are temporary solutions. Google will be able to find them and penalize your websites. The worst-case scenario is manual penalties. These apply to the domain and can permanently remove your website from search engines.

Grey hat SEO is, as its name implies, somewhere between white hat and black hat because their techniques are ambiguous (as well as black hat). Terms and services that they use do not comply with search engine terms and conditions. However, grey hat SEO techniques do not conform to Google’s guidelines; they can still be accepted.

Why is Grey Hat SEO Important?

Companies require immediate results. They need more time and patience to wait for organic traffic and ranking. This is why SEO professionals use tactics that don’t align with Google’s algorithm or violate webmaster guidelines.

Grey hat SEO can have negative consequences on your site’s ranking. It can also cost your site thousands. You should be updated about the most recent categorizations as grey hat SEO is constantly changing. What’s grey today could become white or black tomorrow.

Grey Hat SEO:

  • Review payments
  • Spun content.
  • Clickbait is content that aims to attract visitors to your site and encourage them to click on the links. It does not deliver any value.
  • Exchanges of valuable links.

Are you willing to do a deep dive?

Let’s learn 7 Grey Hat SEO Strategies to Boost Your Website Ranking.

1) Domain Grabbing / Buying an Expired Domain:

This is one of the most popular grey hat SEO strategies to improve your website’s ranking. Domain grabbing is the act of buying an expired domain. This will increase your website’s SEO. It will increase your website rank if you purchase an expired domain with good authority that can be linked to your website or blog.

It’s not a good idea to purchase many expired domains to improve your website’s SEO. However, buying a high-quality backlink profile domain now and again for search engines such as Google will help boost your website. This is the best grey-hat SEO technique to improve your website’s ranking.

What are the Most Important Things to Remember When Buying an Expired Domain?

  • Domain Authority: DA is a search engine ranking that Moz developed. It predicts the likelihood of a website being indexed in search engine result pages. A website’s DA score can range from 1 to 100. Anything above 30 is considered good.
  • Domains at least three years old: An environment older than three years will have a more significant impact than recently purchased and expired domains.
  • Avoid toxic link-built domains: To get a high SEO value domain, you should avoid domains with harmful backlink anchor text that contain foreign languages such as Chinese and Russian. These domains could be better for your website’s SEO.
  • Clean Backlink Profil: An expired domain may have a backlink profile that is not clean or relevant. Save your time buying parts that are already expired. They will need to be in the proper context for you. Use tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, etc.
  • 301 redirect: After you have purchased expired domains, it is time to redirect them to your primary website. A 301 redirect is when a page moves permanently to another location, such as a website.

It allows search engines like Google to direct users to new page location pages and passes 90% of the link juice. This is great for purchasing expired domains that can be used to improve your website’s SEO.

2) Careful Keyword Stuffing:

Keyword stuffing could be better SEO and should be avoided. However, keyword stuffing with high keyword density can give the best results and increase traffic to your site. This is one of the best grey hat SEO techniques for improving your website’s ranking.

What is the perfect keyword density? Keyword density refers to the percentage of time that a keyword should appear on a webpage. A good keyword density is 1%. This means that your keyword should appear 10x in a 1000-word article. To be safe, 0.5% keyword density is better and doesn’t alarm search engines.

Where should we insert the primary keywords to optimize the SEO?

It is important to position your primary keyword correctly for the best organic ranking. These are the places you should place your keyword:

  • Title tags
  • H2 and H3 tags
  • Image alt tags
  • URLs
  • Content beginning and ending

3) Add length to your content:

Try writing 2000 words articles if you’re in a competitive niche. It works great with search engines because it is longer and more valuable than short articles.

The Long-Form Advantage of Content:

  • Attract more backlinks
  • Bloggers reach out for content promotion
  • Increased social share for longer articles
  • Noticeable growth in search engine traffic.

First, choose a niche that will attract loyal readers to increase the length of your content. You can improve your average content length by focusing on the top 10 posts that attract traffic.

Google Analytics will help you find the top post and work on the content length. Update that post with keywords, images, and other information to increase traffic.

Long-form content requires a lot of research and a good outline. Use many subheadings, H2 tags, and H3 tags to expand your article. These essential grey-hat SEO techniques will help you improve your website’s ranking. Content is the most important thing.

4) HTML 2.0 for Building Links:

Web 1.0 was static pages. Users could not modify or take control of pages. Web 2.0 is a grey hat SEO technique to improve your website. Users can edit, tweak and create content through web 2.0 forums, directories, and submission websites.

Web 2.0 can be used on dynamic pages where users can modify the content. For Example, Wikipedia comes under web 2.0. You can correct any errors or omissions on a page. Web 2.0 is user-generated content. It has the following advantages.

Quality traffic: User-generated visitors send qualified visitors to your website, increasing website traffic and conversion rates. Spend quality time on sites with more users, such as Quora.

Link benefits: Web 2.0 can be used to build links. Web 2.0 does not generate do-follow links. However, it is necessary to have various links to create backlinks profiles. There needs to be more than just a do-follow link. A few web 2.0 sites and blog directories offer do-follow links, which is excellent for website SEO and ranking.

Web 2.0 is more effective when you focus on user engagement and not just website traffic. Keep active on social media sites like Quora and Medium.

5) Social Bookmarking Websites:

Signing to social bookmarking sites is another excellent grey-hat SEO technique that boosts your website rank. However, you should limit your submissions to one or two of your website links from the latest or oldest post.

If you only submit one post to all social bookmarking sites, it won’t affect your website ranking but will increase your website traffic. You can submit your blog post to most social bookmarking websites.

The Most Popular Social Bookmarking Sites Are:

  • Digg
  • Inbound
  • Folkd
  • Scoop. it

Promoting content on social bookmarking websites is a common mistake. They often use the same meta description and heading.

Using the same meta description and headings as Google may penalize you. While promoting on social bookmarking websites, create a unique title.

6) Link Exchange

Link exchange falls under the black-hat SEO category. However, this is not true. While automatic link exchange is black hat SEO, manually exchanging links falls under a grey hat.

What’s Link Exchange?

Link exchange is the act of exchanging links with blogs or websites. Google will only penalize people who follow proper SEO practices. Link exchanges can create backlinks from different sources if done correctly.

How to exchange links without getting noticed by Google?

  • Connect with a few bloggers in your niche to share their content. You can even create a Facebook group and start liking, commenting, and appreciating the range of others relevant to your audience.
  • Link to other websites in your content. You can also reach out via email or social media. Tell them that you are linking them and ask for a retweet. If they find your content valuable, they will reach out to you to link back.

7) Multiple social media accounts:

We spend a lot of time on social media. We find many articles and images depending on our interests. Their algorithm uses our search history.

Why not leverage social media sites for your benefit? According to search metrics, social signals can impact your website’s SEO. Using grey-hat SEO techniques to improve your website ranking is beneficial, as social media is widely used. How can you take advantage of social signals?

You will need multiple dummy accounts to increase your Facebook shares and likes, tweet retweets, and other social media engagements. It falls under grey hat search engine optimization. White hat SEO applies to content that is getting shares and likes automatically. However, grey hat SEO is for content you intentionally use to increase social share, such as buying Facebook likes or multiple accounts.

If you want to be something other than an expert in your field, then you should not use this method. People will soon find out that you are faking your social media presence.

You might ask yourself, “Should I use grey hat SEO techniques to improve my website’s ranking?” It doesn’t matter if you wear a grey, black, or white hat. There is always a risk.

You run the risk that white hat tactics will not work for your website traffic and ranking. Black-hat techniques can be subject to manual action. Search engines may remove a website from search engine indexes if it violates these guidelines.

Grey hats aren’t illegal. It would be best if you weighed the risks and rewards. The internet is not a place where everyone follows the rules. Your competitor might use black hat tactics. It would be best if you had a few tricks to outrank them and gain valuable traffic.

You lose little by being on Google’s side. With Google’s algorithm becoming more challenging daily, white hat SEO is the best way to ensure your business’s safety. Play safe.

Top 10 SEO Books: The Most Highly Rated Search Engine Optimization Books https://safeseotools.com/top-10-seo-books-the-most-highly-rated-search-engine-optimization-books/ Wed, 01 Feb 2023 12:20:04 +0000 https://safeseotools.com/?p=193 Online resources are excellent resources for search engine optimization. You can find a lot of information online about optimizing your content. You can only sometimes trust the information you find online, and many black-hat SEO techniques could hurt your organic traffic, even though they are often marketed as legitimate. Where can one find reliable information? SEO professionals who have written a book on the subject tend to be more trustworthy and authoritative. I sought out those who work in SEO to share their top 10 favorite SEO books. Here are the 10 Best SEO Books Recommendations by the Pros in 2022. With reviews from the experts

1. SEO Made Simple: All You Need To Know About SEO and Nothing More By Evan Bailyn

Bailyn claims that SEO is more straightforward than experts believe. SEO professionals want people to spend much money on SEO trade secrets. Bailyn reveals all the secrets you need to be able to rank high in search engines. This book covers building trust, Google’s goals, link-building opportunities, and keywords. It also explains how to leverage content. You will also learn how to avoid the black hat activities that can lead to your business’s deindexation and possibly even death. SEO Made Simple is the ideal primer for anyone starting their SEO education.

2. The Long tail: Why the Future of Business Is Selling Less by Chris Anderson

SEO books on SEO are difficult to trust. They are outdated as soon as they are published. The Long Tail by Chris Anderson is the best SEO book I have ever read. Although this is not an SEO book, it’s an essential read for anyone involved in online marketing. This is best explained using an example. Because it is so broad, many people search for “widgets.” This is a long-tail phrase. Fewer people are searching for blue widgets. Even fewer are searching for blue devices with red toggles. These are long-tail phrases. Anderson says that while many people are searching for “widgets,” those who search for specific terms (e.g., “blue widgets” or “blue widgets and red toggles”) far outnumber those looking for widgets.

This has to do with SEO. People often think they must rank for “widgets” because more people search for long-tail phrases than short-tailed ones. This is a huge opportunity.

It is essential to consider conversion rates. Although many people search for “widgets,” not everyone wants to purchase one. Others are searching for instructions on how to make a widget. Others are searching for instructions on how to use a device. Widgets have a low conversion rate. People are more likely to convert if they specify the widget type (e.g., blue widget). For example, someone searching for “I need a blue widget today that can ship overnight” may not be very common, but they are almost 100% more likely to convert. You need to take advantage of the opportunity to convert searches if your SEO efforts focus on the short tail. The secret to SEO success is to focus on the long-tail because more people search for long phrases than one short-tailed phrase.

Although the book was published in 2013, it has some flaws. However, the content is still applicable and relevant today.

The Ultimate Guide To Link Building is a great resource. It was a great help when I first started our SEO agency. It helped me to see how blogging can help businesses create “linkable assets,” which are helpful for SEO link outreach. Clients frequently ask me why they should blog. I answer that no one wants to link directly to their product pages or services. It would be best if you gave value before they will reciprocate.

Eric Ward’s Ultimate Guide To Link Building is the best SEO book. The author and his friends created many of the terms and techniques we use in SEO today. They also have a deep understanding of the subject. Although it doesn’t make link-building simple, it gives a good overview of the many options available.

Where should keywords be placed in HTML?

This guide will help you.

You can place keyword phrases in 20 places on a website to maximize SEO value and rank. This blog post will reveal the hidden areas of the HTML document.

This page covers everything you need about keyword optimization.

How to add keywords on a website to SEO

Meta Title

Your keywords phrases should be placed in the HTML meta title. This is the first step in adding keywords to a website.

Meta titles are website name tags that appear first in search engine results pages. Users can click them to see the meta title. This HTML meta field is essential for SEO purposes. Search engines like Google, Yahoo!, and Bing have much to offer.

If you do not include your keyword phrases in your meta title, they will not be considered. Your crucial word should always be included here.

This page should rank in the top 10 for the following keyword phrases.

  • How to add keywords on a website for SEO
  • How to add keywords

It is best to use as many phrases in your meta title as possible but not repeat words.

See the image below to see my page’s meta title.

To modify meta titles and improve search engine rankings, you can use an SEO plugin like All-in-One SEO or Yoast.

Meta Description

Google doesn’t consider meta descriptions to be a ranking factor. It appears as the second search result for your website and adds relevancy to the keywords people are searching for.

The meta description is essential in your decision to click on search results. It is a good idea for users to include their keywords in the meta description to make your listing more relevant to their search queries.

A strong marketing message or a brief description of the page’s purpose and your target keyword can impact how many people click your search results entry. This is the most critical aspect of this search results entry.

This screenshot shows how I added my target keyword phrase to the meta description.

Meta Keywords

While major search engines no longer use the meta keywords tag, many SEO plugins on-page still use it.

Google claims that keyword meta tags became a place for people to put frequently-inappropriate keywords without visitors seeing them. Google began to ignore meta-tags many years ago after many keywords were misinterpreted.

Google ignores meta keyword tags, so many SEOs leave them blank. Although you can include your keyword here, some search engines may pay more attention to the HTML location.

I do not use meta keywords in my Content. To learn more about the HTML tag, please read my post What are Meta Keywords?

URL

Search engines and visitors will appreciate URLs that give information about the website’s Content and the location of pages within its organizational structure.

This URL is the top HTML location for keywords. It can be used on websites to improve SEO rankings.

Your website URL has many places where your keywords can be added. My best SEO advice is to limit how many exact match keywords you use in your URL. Avoid keyword stuffing.

These components are URLs you can use keywords to:

  • Domain Name – Your website domain name may include your main keyword, such as keywordphrase.com.
  • Subdomain Name: If you have subdomains set up on your website, you can include keywords like keyword-phrase.companyname.com.
  • Folder Name: If the Content on your website is organized into folders, then the folder names can consist of your keywords like this: companyname.com/keyword-phrase/pagename
  • Page Name: The actual page name can consist of your keywords like companyname.com/foldername/keyword-phrase.

Header Tags

To organize the content structure of HTML documents, header tags are used. These tags break down text blocks and make it easier for readers to skim.

Header tags are made up of H1-H6 elements. Header tags are made up of H1 to H6 elements. Page Optimizer Pro has confirmed the relevance and importance of keywords in these areas.

How to correctly use keywords in web header tags

  • H1 The H1 tag serves as the main header of the page. It should only appear once, at the top of the Content. The H1 tag should contain your main keyword phrase. Additional keywords can be added, but you cannot stuff them. It is a good idea to copy the SEO-optimized meta title to the H1 section. You can find more information on my SEO H1 best practices page.
  • H2-H4 A webpage can have as many H2 or H4 tags as possible. It is best to use H2s to break down the main pages. If necessary, H3s can be placed below the H2s as sub-headers. SEO strategies that include keywords at least once in the H2 tags and variations in the H3 tags are good. I don’t use H4s.

Header tags can also be used to win Google’s People Also Answer Box or featured search snippets. To give Google the exact information it needs, you can structure your Content as I did with H2s and H3s.

Body Content

The page content is essential for SEO rankings. Search engines may not find the keywords you wish your website to rank for.

Give search engines like Google the information they need to place keywords within the body of your text.

I briefly covered this in my post, How to improve keyword searches. But I will be more specific here.

The best areas to put your keyword phrases are in

  • Introduction Type your keywords in the first 100 words of
  • Main Content You should use your keywords at least twice on each page’s primary Content (evenly distributed).
  • Summary Type your keywords in the 100 most recent words.

Your Content must be easy to read. You should make it sound natural to put keywords in these areas. Your Content should be easy to understand and readable by people.

This may lead to too many keywords being included in the body content. You can still trust my opinion. This is the exact formula I have used for more than 15 years.

Images

You can also use images to add keywords to websites. This may seem strange, but appearances can be optimized for keywords.

These four top places are for optimizing image keywords:

  • ALT Tag is an HTML element that describes an image to a screen reader. Blind people can easily understand the visual elements of a page by using ALT tags. These tags are also great places to put your keywords. It is important that the keywords you add are relevant to the image and not just stuffed in the field. The ALT tag is primarily intended to aid people with disabilities.
  • Image Title You can include keywords in the image title attribute. This attribute can be used to add additional information about an element or for search engine optimization.
  • Filename Keywords can be added to image filenames to increase their SEO value. Keyword-phrase.jpg.
  • Image Meta Information: You can edit an image’s metadata with image editing software like Photoshop. These metadata details can be used to credit the photographer or graphic artist and provide searchable information to photo archives and databases. You can change the title, description, and keywords to make the image more SEO-friendly. Google will also search for the information after it has been uploaded to your website.

DIV tags

A tag is an HTML code element that defines a division within an HTML document. It can store HTML elements styled with CSS or modified using JavaScript.

This is how it’s most commonly used.

A tag can add a CSS attribute or an id attribute. You can use it to add keywords to your website HTML.

For example, you can add a

Your target keyword can be coded on the page you are currently viewing.

Although you may be tempted to think that this SEO strategy is impossible, I can assure it works. Ted Kubaitis’ Cora SEO software shows correlations between higher Google ranks and more keywords in DIV tags.

Is this not amazing?

This website, called “Addicting games,” is ranked among the top three Google results when searching for the problematic keyword “games.” This website optimizes for this keyword using the DIV strategy.

HTML Title Attribute

The title attribute contains additional information about the HTML element to which it is attached. The title attribute also includes the tooltip text. This appears when your cursor hovers over a part.

The best part about the HTML title attribute is that it can be applied to any HTML element.

Where can you put keywords in HTML such as this?

These elements are the most basic that you can use.

  • Paragraphs:
  • Headings:
  • Horizontal Ruler
  • Anchor Tag
  • Unordered or Ordered Lists
  • List Elements
  • Images:
  • Dividers
  • Spans

To harness the power and potential of the title attribute to your keyword phrases, you must add it to existing HTML elements. You don’t have to include your keyword in every title attribute on the page.

These are just some examples of HTML elements.

  • Text block
  • Anchor text link
  • Name in the List

Addicting Games uses the same SEO strategy in HTML as my previous tip on keywords in DIV tags. The image below shows it in action.

Link Anchor Text

An anchor is a text that appears and can be clicked within an HTML hyperlink.

Linking between pages on your website creates an opportunity to add keywords you want your target site to rank high for.

This is an example of keyword-optimized anchor text.

The anchor text matches exactly the keyword phrase. The hyperlinked text includes the keyword phrase I want my linked webpage to rank for. Similar link anchor text can be found in other blog posts.

Google can help improve a page’s rankings by using keyword-optimized anchor text for internal linking. The anchor text is a signal from Google about the Content of a page and should be ranked accordingly.

(I explain this idea in more detail in my article about external vs. internal links.

It is best to avoid repeating the exact link text more than 50% of the time. Variation in your link text is significant because it can send a red signal to Google and could result in your website being penalized.

I rotate through the keywords I want pages to rank for to ensure success. By doing this, I avoid over-optimizing by not using the same keyword too often. I include other words in the link anchor text to ensure each matching phrase is unique.

This internal linking plan could be used to rank a blog with the keyword “SEO keyword suggestion.”

  • SEO keyword suggestions (3 links within the website)
  • These are two internal links that will help you to find SEO keywords
  • My SEO keyword tips (1 link internal)
  • SEO keyword tips (2 internal links).

You can see that I optimize the link anchors in the keyword phrase. However, I also add enough variations to ensure it’s not overoptimized with an exact match phrase.

Navigation Menu

The navigation menu is another place where keywords can be added to a website. This valuable SEO resource can be used to improve your website’s rank.

Every page of your website will contain keyword-rich links if you use descriptive anchor text in the global menu navigation.

Google can see a page that has many links as a sign it is essential. More links are associated with higher SEO value.

As I mentioned in my previous tip, you shouldn’t place your keywords within the navigation menu. The best option is to use a partial match keyword phrase. This will make sure that you don’t overoptimize for the keyword.

You can remove the keyword “best” from a page that has the “best keyword instrument” page and add a link to it in your main navigation menu. This will increase SEO value.

Another example is a page you would like to rank in the Texas search engine for digital marketing services. Another example is “digital marketing services span>” as the anchor text.

How to Increase Your Ranking

After you’ve compiled all the tips, you can begin to look at your keyword rankings on Google.

This page explains how to check keyword position in Google. Anyone can find this step-by-step guide to help them review their position.

SEO: How do you add keywords to your website?

This guide will help you add keywords to your website to improve its SEO.

This was done to answer the question: “Where do keywords go? “

As you can see, there are 20 places to put keywords in website HTML. This will help improve your Google search rank. Your pages will be more SEO-friendly if you include more keywords.

What Are The Best Ways To Avoid Google Penalties While SEO? https://safeseotools.com/what-are-the-best-ways-to-avoid-google-penalties-while-seo/ Mon, 25 Oct 2021 08:11:12 +0000 http://safeseotools.com/?p=12 The primary search indexing results page accounts for roughly 90% of the organic traffic to your website. That’s why it’s critical to stay at the top of the Google rankings at all times. Your company’s success is frequently determined by how clever your website ranks.

Consider the following scenario: you are a small business owner who has decided to use SEO services to increase the rankings of your website.

You get up, the sun is shining, and you check the performance of your websites in your search panel. What exactly is it?! What makes you think this is possible? It has to be a mistake.

However, nothing changes when you refresh the website, and everything becomes obvious. Google’s algorithms have warned you about your website.

Fortunately, this nightmare is only a hypothetical scenario that will never occur. As a result, you’ll put the advice in this article into practice, allowing you to avoid Google penalties in the future.

Google Penalty: An Overview

The term “penalty” in the context of SEO refers to a negative impact on a website’s organic search rankings due to an algorithmic program update or a manual intervention.

Anything that goes against Google’s Webmaster standards could result in a severe penalty for your website. The two primary types are algorithm-based, automatic, and human, which is a deliberate penalty for “black hat” behavior.

Though Google does not impose “penalties” for repeated hits, the result feels similar to website owners. It’s as if your website has been hit with a penalty flag.

Improve the quality of your content

Managing your website’s content is difficult. Numerous posts have been made, possibly in the hundreds. Ensure that anything you indicate and will post in the future complies with Google’s Webmaster guidelines.

If you only post for the sake of posting, you’ll be penalized by Google in the future. Ascertain that your content is of high quality.

Backlinks should not be purchased.

Links that convey SEO value to your website should appear natural. Ensure that any paid links (such as adverts) include a “no follow” attribute and stay away from link schemes.

Stop stuffing keywords into your content.

Your program’s rankings will suffer if you stuff your material with exact repeats of a key term. Keywords are vital, but they should sound natural
Create no doorway pages.

It suggests that you’re creating several pages and ranking them for different keywords. These sites may have little or no information at all, and their sole purpose is to route people to your main website.

Do not attempt this; Google despises this practice, and you will almost certainly be punished as a result.

Don’t leave spammy backlinks in your comments.

It’s a very common SEO technique. It was a very useful strategy at first, but Google is now smarter than ever. Avoid the temptation to leave unrelated comments on your website with unhelpful links.

According to Google, this is a black-hat SEO practice, and Google algorithms may punish you if you use it. If you want to increase website traffic by using comment backlinks, make sure they’re relevant.

Make use of an SSL certificate.

An SSL certificate ensures your website’s security. If you wish to avoid a Google penalty, you must have an SSL certificate.

It’s critical to understand how to prevent Google penalties and implement appropriate SEO tactics for your website.
